Much of my adult life has been lived with a camera either in my hands or lying near by. Although I was often praised for the pictures I shared with my family and friends, I knew I had no clue about what I was doing—I was simply lucky once in a while. As people began to encourage me to consider becoming a full time photographer, I knew that before I could seriously consider that option I needed to have a better grasp on how to create quality pictures consistently. Therefore, I returned to school where I double majored in Portraiture and Photojournalism and graduated with honors.
Today I’m thankful for the formal training. It has enabled me to confidently capture moments and present them in a manner that people treasure. I’m also thankful for the relationships built as customers allow me to share in the special moments of their lives.
